I’m a language professional with 14 years’ of experience in French/English translating, simultaneous interpreting, editing and writing as well as training in Africa’s capital, Addis Ababa, with in-depth knowledge of the agricultural and development sector. I am the author of Ethiopia through writers’ eyes, an anthology of writing on Ethiopia.
After studying agronomy & animal husbandry, I worked for several years on smallholdings in France. I have extensive experience translating and interpreting in tourism, agriculture, rail transport, development and politics. I have also translated cultural topics.
Running a horse riding stable in Ethiopia for 6 years was an experience which gave me a good understanding of Ethiopia’s tourism sector. During this time I also carried out consulting and training in Amharic for community based horse trekking ventures throughout Ethiopia.
