The components of LNIP-I are:  60m long and 4m high intake structure (weir) and associated infrastructure on the Nzoia River;  About 83 km of conveyance, water distribution and drainage canals for the estimated 4,075 ha irrigable area. Activities performed include:  Data collection and Review.  Design of tertiaries, in-field canals, drains, and irrigation structures.  Assessment of necessary Land Development activities for irrigation.  Assist Sociologist in mobilization and IWUA formation.  Preparation of Fieldwork and Design reports, and Cadastral maps for in-field system.
