I started my career at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in Chennai as a banking backend operations associate for Citizens Bank. Within two months, my senior left, leaving me as the sole team member. I trained three new joiners, and together we built an efficient team. After a year, the contract between RBS and Citizens Bank ended, and Infosys took over as the new vendor. Upon client request, I transitioned to Infosys, continuing on the same project for two more years. With our expanding operations, the team grew significantly.
Seeking a transfer closer to my hometown, I moved to Hyderabad and took on an HR role in an HSBC project. This six-month assignment was successful, and my manager referred me to a Google project. Google was launching its Google Operations Center (GOC) and needed a team for its pilot batch. I was selected and played a key role in building processes from scratch, designing policies, and collaborating with stakeholders. After two years, the contract between Infosys and Google ended, and IBM became the new vendor. Google requested me to transition to IBM as an SME to help establish operations for the US launch.
After a year at IBM, GOC offered me a direct position, which I accepted. I managed 20 vendors across India, the Philippines, and the US. Every transition in my career has been client-driven, with no voluntary resignations.
My role involved managing the candidate onboarding process, including compensation structuring, offer letter generation, approvals, compliance, and device allocation. I also oversaw background verification and ensured legal compliance before candidates’ Day 1. Post-onboarding, I managed employee documentation and facilitated bonuses such as referral, relocation, and retention bonuses.
With over 5,000 employees in our database, I led process automation initiatives to streamline compensation workflows. I worked closely with stakeholders to implement lean tools, enhance process efficiency, and manage queries from external candidates and existing employees regarding interview processes and bonuses. As an SME, I provided guidance to 20 vendor employees, ensuring smooth execution across multiple locations.
Throughout my career, I have developed expertise in process automation, stakeholder alignment, and operational efficiency, making a significant impact on HR operations and organizational growth.
