16 years experience in customer service/success. I have 11 years experience in hospitality, working for various hotels, lodges and guesthouses. Working in hospitality I was fortunate to meet many different people from different cultures and demographics. Working in Customer Success in the SaaS environment, you don't have that personal interaction as you would in hospitality, where you deal directly with the guest/customer. You have to really look for ways to personalize you interaction with customers. I have found that jumping on a Zoom call, wherever possible, is the best way in accomplishing this.
