I started my career as a Technical Customer Care Representative for AT&T DSL through a call center based here in Manila. After 4 years, I resigned and decided to pursue a home-based career. This was in 2009. It's been many years since and I still see myself continuing to work from home.
I love learning new skills, getting to work with different applications and clients. These, for me, are the major takeaways on top of the financial benefits.
I have performed a lot of roles - a general transcriptionist, an English tutor to Japanese students, student support, VA, project manager, appointment scheduler and business manager. I worked mostly with clients from the US and Australia.
I feel that the reasons I am able to enjoy this longevity in an environment where virtual contractors are having a serious challenge keeping working relationships with their clients are my attitude towards my work, my integrity and discipline to get up every day and work despite my bed being very close to my work station. I do hope to find new opportunities through Hubstaff.
