About

I started my journey in the SaaS world as a generalist in the Visual Website Optimizer (one of the leading conversion rate optimization solutions in the market) marketing team. I was the second hire in the marketing team and 17th employee. Since VWO was a super lean team then, for the initial few months of my job at VWO, I have managed and worked on multiple different aspects of inbound marketing with a goal of lead generation. I have experience in blogging, email marketing, social media marketing, and website CRO. During this time, I also won the Hamster of the Hustle award.

After working as a generalist for an year, I was asked to lead and scale up the paid marketing channel for VWO. I started with setting up and tracking the entire paid marketing funnel and within 6 months started handling a budget of 50,000 USD every month. I brought leads at 1/4th the decided CPA, consistently. I have experience in almost all paid marketing channels out there (AdWords, Youtube Ads, Bind Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Display Advertising, paid content marketing and paid partnerships) with my forte being a thorough understanding of the Google AdWords channel.

Along with this, I was spending 2 days every week, getting on calls with customers and understanding their CRO plans, strategies, and sketching them into customer case studies on our blog. My work examples can be found here:

For the paid marketing that I did, I took care of the entire funnel, right from figuring keywords to bid upon to the landing pages. Here are some of my work examples around that:
https://vwo.com/lp/vwo-vs-optimizely/ (campaign for somebody searching for Optimizely, Optimizely alternates, and other keywords along those lines)
https://vwo.com/lp/conversion-rate-optimization/ (campaign for somebody searching for CRO)
https://vwo.com/lp/multivariate-testing/ (campaign for somebody searching for MVT)
I also gave a talk at MetaRefresh in which I crunched my knowledge from VWO customer case studies into 7 key lessons. Here are the slides for the same: http://www.slideshare.net/tarunamanchanda23/7-cro-lessons-learned-after-going-through-100s-of-ab-testing-case-studies
During my stint at VWO, I also did two webinars - one was analysing customer landing pages in terms of CRO and the other was a co-branded webinar with PPCHero (here's the landing page link: http://www.ppchero.com/webinar-advanced-ppc-cro-strategies-for-effective-advertising-in-ecommerce/)

My next stint was Growth role at PushCrew.
VWO's CEO Paras Chopra asked me to do market research for an idea which later came to be known as PushCrew. For PushCrew, I got 10+ paying customers even before the product existed. I also sold the first paying account within 30 days of launch. The deal size was a 3-digit dollar value in MRR, the pricing actually started from $25 per month. I single headed spearheaded and owned the launch and execution of the marketing website and the first version of the product along with two engineers and a designer. I am also heading a partnership with an agency in Japan which is another revenue stream for the product. As part of my current role, I am doing product marketing and feature research interviews with customers around the globe while driving the over-all growth strategy for the product.

Being able to work independently and consistently over-achieving my goals are some of my key strengths.

My entire tenure at PushCrew has been remote. The company doesn't have a remote culture otherwise, but because of my good performance, hard work & dedication, and complete accountability in my role, I was allowed to work remote.
