I have a proven track record of crafting award-winning promotional campaigns which leverage digital and traditional marketing platforms to not only position my organizations as industry leaders but also to successfully penetrate new and existing markets, resulting in a significant increase in ROI.
In addition to being Principal and Chief Marketing Officer of TLB Strategies, I held the position of Executive Director/Assistant Dean for Marketing and Communications at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing since 2015. In this role, I led all marketing and communications initiatives for the top-ranked school, holding the #1 MSN and DNP positions according to U.S. News & World Report. My creative campaigns for the school earned recognition throughout the healthcare industry in the United States and globally. In addition, I played a pivotal role in driving process improvement projects, contributing to the enhanced efficiency of the organization.
Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, I served as the Director of Marketing for HCA Healthcare’s Henrico, Parham & Retreat Doctors' Hospitals and Hanover and West Creek Emergency Centers in Richmond, VA, a Fortune 100 company. There, I spearheaded comprehensive marketing, advertising, media relations, and event planning efforts for the facilities and divisional headquarters. My earlier roles include leading social media, events, and video marketing efforts at Virginia Commonwealth University, where my video production work earned an Emmy for a local television series. Before VCU, I held various marketing positions, including Corporate Event Coordinator with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Assistant Director of Marketing at Allied Capital Corporation, and Account Coordinator at Ogilvy PR.
I earned both my Master of Science in Marketing and Strategic Public Relations and my Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
