My name is Takwa Dawa, and I am a senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information and Decision Systems at the American University of Beirut.
I am a challenge-driven individual, that graduated with a BBA reputable for its demanding analytical curriculum. I enjoy solving stimulating problems in a collaborative environment.
Lately, in 2021, I had the opportunity to intern at the female factor as a data analytics intern. During my internship, I learned that data is such a powerful tool to understand the needs of a company, identify opportunities and make decisions accordingly. The projects that I undertook also developed my skills utilizing Excel and Python for modeling and visualization purposes, which made me even more eager to apply my knowledge to this position as it relies heavily on data and analysis. The creative side I have always developed throughout internships helped me deliver my findings in a well-crafted presentation as well as engage with the audience efficiently.
Furthermore, my last experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Google Cloud could be a good start to my career as a data analyst. In fact, I learned to work flexibly under challenging deadlines and to proactively bring about a change. As a BDR, I was also able to understand my account’s business motive thoroughly as well as the problems they’re facing, practiced listening to the customers and analyzing their needs to translate them into a solution, and that is fundamental for data analyst. Last but not least, I developed a variety of interpersonal skills, notably verbal and written communication, which will help me interact constructively with future stakeholders as well as coworkers.
