About Me
I am a dedicated and experienced lecturer with over 5 years of expertise in teaching machine learning, natural
language processing, artificial intelligence, and mobile development at the Bachelor’s level. My passion for
education extends to supervising final year projects, co-supervising MS theses, and mentoring junior team members.
I excel in model development and performance evaluation, continuously seeking to enhance my skills and knowledge
in the field.
Education
PhD in Computer Science
Department of Computer Science, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences
Aug 2020 – Present
CGPA: 3.8
PhD research, I am dedicated to advancing speaker adaptation techniques tailored for low-resource languages
such as Urdu. A cornerstone of my work involves curating a dataset comprising multi-speaker speech, laying a solid
foundation for my investigations. My principal aim is to elevate the quality of generated audio, with a specific focus
on refining the naturalness of pauses within speech segments. Looking ahead, I envision delving into the realm of
infusing emotion into synthesized voices, a venture that holds promise for enriching human-machine interactions
and speech synthesis applications in low-resource language settings.
Masters of Computer Science
Department of Computer Science, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences
Aug 2017 – Aug 2019
CGPA: 3.4
MS research, I delved into the realm of hierarchical classification problems using AntMiner. The core of my
investigation revolved around three pivotal questions: Can a machine learning system effectively discern the
hierarchy of classification it is confronted with? Is it possible to develop an AI system that mirrors the broad
spectrum of general intelligence observed in humans? Lastly, can we codify the generalized rules of human cognitive
abilities into software, enabling machines to exhibit cognitive behaviors akin to humans? Through AntMiner, I
explored these questions, aiming to bridge the gap between hierarchical classification challenges and the eminence of
human-like AI.
Bachelor of Computer Science
Department of Computer Science, IMSciences Peshawar
Dec 2011 – Dec 2015
CGPA: 3.8
Final Year Project, I designed and developed an Android mobile application aimed at enhancing productivity.
The application enables users to store notes, set alarms for reminders, and uniquely, applies sentiment analysis to
the notes. This feature allows users to gauge the emotional tone of their notes, providing a deeper level of insight
and reflection. The project integrated various facets of mobile development and natural language processing,
contributing to a practical and innovative tool for personal organization and emotional expression.

Workshops
Machine Learning, Bayesian Inference and Big Data | National Institute of Banking and Finance
2022
• Delivered a workshop on ”Machine Learning, Bayesian Inference and Big Data: The Practical Path for Economists” at
NIBAF, Islamabad in June 2022. It was a pleasure to be a part of the first offering of this advanced course that covered
Time Series modeling using the latest tools in Machine Learning including Deep Learning, Sequence Networks, LSTMs,
Attention, and Transformers for both forecasting and prediction of critical economic indicators. Most importantly, the
hands-on aspect of the training which included developing and customizing the advanced models using libraries in
Python was the highlight of the seminars.
Socket Programming | Ripha University
• Delivered a workshop at RIPHA International University ISB on Sockets
2022
Flutter | ISYWSC’22 IEEE Islamabad
• Delivered a workshop on Flutter at ISYWSC’22 IEEE Islamabad Section.
