Syed Muhammad Saad Salman

With over a decade of professional experience in mobile application development, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing, I bring a comprehensive and hands-on approach to AI engineering and app development. My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (2011 to 2015), where I developed an Android productivity app with sentiment analysis. Since then, I have expanded my technical expertise across Android (Java), iOS (Swift), and WordPress platforms, including professional roles at Tronicz PK and the Directorate of IT, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at FAST-NUCES Islamabad, specializing in speech analytics. My research focuses on speaker adaptation in low-resource languages, with a key emphasis on enhancing naturalness in generated audio and incorporating emotion into synthesized speech. I previously completed a Master’s degree with research on hierarchical classification using AntMiner, investigating the potential for AI systems to emulate generalized human intelligence.

Since 2019, I have served as a Lecturer at FAST-NUCES, teaching courses including Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Mobile App Development. I have supervised over 30 Final Year Projects and co-supervised several MS theses. I actively contribute to student mentorship, having led a computing society of over 200 members and organized multiple technical and social events. I was also involved in automating the university's FYP system using large language models.

My technical strengths span model development, performance evaluation, and deployment. I have hands-on experience fine-tuning multiple large language models (LLMs), implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and deploying ML models on AWS. I am proficient in using GitHub and GitHub Actions to automate testing and manage CI/CD pipelines for robust, production-level workflows.

In addition to academic and industrial experience, I have delivered workshops on Machine Learning, Flutter, and Socket Programming at national forums including NIBAF, IEEE ISYWSC, and Ripha University. These engagements reflect my commitment to sharing knowledge and staying engaged with emerging technologies.

My background combines deep theoretical knowledge with extensive implementation experience, making me uniquely positioned to lead and contribute to both applied and research-driven projects in AI, speech processing, and mobile solutions.
