I worked for a Non-Profit Organization for 12 years and enjoyed a number of work responsibilities.
For about 10 months I worked in the Janitorial Department where I cared for cleaning and maintaining public areas of the facilities where I worked.
I worked for about three and a half years in the Organization's Shipping Department, where I was responsible for the organization and management of the Department's warehouse.
For about five years I worked in the Organization's Accounting Department. During this time I worked with the Cash Management Team, the Accounting Services Team and the Risk Management Team. My work with the Cash Management Team included being the custodian of the Department's Petty Cash and I was responsible for reconciling and recording petty cash expenses. I was also the Banking Clerk and was responsible for the daily payments run, downloading and reconciling bank statements and forecasting the cash needs for the month. At one point, I was also the Bank Relationship Clerk and was the main point of contact for the Organization and the Bank, and I was responsible for the administration and maintenance of business records with the Bankers for Fica and other purposes. My role in the Accounting Services Team included being the Team Lead of the Creditors and Debtors Team. I was responsible for the management of team members, the distribution and monitoring of work assignments, the monthly deadlines and any dispute resolution with suppliers. I was actively involved in the processing and reconciliation of the Supplier Accounts. My work with the Risk Management Team included being the risk management manager for the Organization's Fleet Insurance arrangement and the tracking of Insurance claims.
For about three years I worked in the Organization's Maintenance Department and offsite in their Construction Department. I was physically hands on with maintenance and construction, but was also in charge of teams of people, managing their work and the meeting of deadlines.
I am diligent and focused on making sure that whatever work is assigned to me is handled in the most efficient manner. I am also detail oriented and will ensure that whatever work is assigned to me is handled accurately.
