Siobhan Maher

I am native English speaker currently living in Valencia, Spain, working as a freelance translator and proofreader. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguistics, working towards obtaining the Diploma in Translation: Spanish to English. 

Having lived in Spain for over 6 years I have a very high level of Spanish, meaning that as well as translating documents to a very high standard, I also proofread translated texts to make sure that everything is correct and nothing has been lost in translation. My experience in this area includes blog posts for a digital marketing platform provider and consultancy, which were published online, and fictional stories for Spanish language learners. My previous job as an English teacher also means that I have an in-depth knowledge of grammar, punctuation and syntax.

Finally, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, which includes translation and linguistics. My experience and training makes me the ideal candidate for all your translation and proofreading needs.
