Apnalaya, Mumbai Based NGO working in Shivajinagar slum, since last 1979. The NGO
believes in Holistic approach and works uncer the upbrella of Integrated Community
Development. It has various departments such as Health & Disability, Education, Respponsible
Citizenship, Livelihood.
At present working as: “Monitoring, Information System (MIS)Officer”
Collect, compile and analyze data elements internal as well as external required to
produce standardized information products
Assist in training staff involved in information management activities (data collection and
data entry) and participatory monitoring
Provide technical Information and support in needs assessment processes, specifically in
development of data collection tools, data processing and analysis.
To assist in designing and maintaining the information management system.
To support the data entry, generate required information / reports from the database and
assist in designing, pre-testing and finalization of different data collection tools.
Carry out needs assessments, baselines, midterm, monitoring and evaluation exercises
and generate quality reports
Train the new staff and arrange refresher trainings of existing Program field

Description: Sankalp Rehabilitation Trust is a Mumbai-based NGO that works with the drug
users since 1995, preventing HIV/AIDS through education and needle-exchange programme&
disposals. Using a harm reduction approach, they provide services such as abscess management,
basic medical care, counseling, and opioid substitution therapy to their clients. In 2008, Sankalp
received the Red Ribbon Award from UNAIDS for their efforts.
