Would you like to magnify your efforts and multiply your time?
I can help you do just that!
Perhaps one of the greatest assets I have is my personality. I get along with everyone and have been told I am a calming force in the office. I am a textbook “people-pleaser” because I genuinely like people. I enjoy looking for the best in them and reflecting it via sincere compliments. It delights me to see a compliment light up a person.
It also delights me to be of genuine help to someone. People who happen to wander in to our office are often in great need and emotional pain. They come to us by mistake (thinking we provide behavioral health), and are usually seeking help for themselves or a loved one. I take great care to listen well, ensuring my understanding of their situation by saying it back to them in my own words. I help with any referrals or resources as best I can. I try to help them feel listened to and hopeful. In other words, I know how to deliver effective Customer Service.
Customer service was a crucial aspect of being a Museum Administrator for many years. I was in charge of all aspects of the museum’s operation, including writing and editing their quarterly publications which received accolades from the membership. The position required management and diplomatic skills. I knew I was capable of being “the boss,” but what surprised me was how good I was at it. I enjoyed excelling in that challenging position. It also gave me an entirely different perspective of the responsibilities of management and helped me appreciate the demands and pressures of leadership. I was always mindful of our mission and what was best for the museum. The position sharpened my prioritization skills and taught me how to delegate and enable staff to be of more help to me.
In addition to expertise in Microsoft Office and other office equipment, I have a great deal of experience and do an excellent job with meetings: from preparing the agenda for review to (Zoom) invitations to composing comprehensive minutes that have rarely required any modification. My people pleasing personality is mirrored in my correspondence, is professional, but also always quite pleasant. The art of polite persistence has served me well.
My goal is to become one of the best investments you have ever made!
