Applus IDIADA Pune, Maharashtra Data Science Intern - Full time internship Jun 2022 - Jan 2023 ● Developed the HR recruitment portal that helps streamline the recruitment process. ● Applied various concepts and technologies like web scraping, selenium, Django, html, CSS, JavaScript. ● The AI shortlists or ranks say 100 candidates by comparing them to the job description in about 250 seconds, which is a huge jump when compared to ranking them manually. ● Research paper for the project is in works and will be published in a journal. PROJECTS The IDIADA Resource Portal Jun 2023- Aug 2024 ● As part of the internal innovation team at Applus IDIADA, India, I was a part of developing the IDIADA Resource Portal (IRP) using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Django framework with Python. ● The IRP is a web-based tool that assists managers in efficient resource allocation in the automotive industry. ● Major contributions included developing a filter function that dynamically generates SQL queries using the Django ORM specifically Q objects. Also, developed various functionalities like Paginations, Drag and Drop features, Encryption of some confidential JS code, feature to mange rights of a user based on their designations. ● One of my major accomplishments was to reduce to load time of a couple pages by 70% by optimizing the queries and replacing multiple queries in a loop with a single complex query. Data Harvesting project Nov 2023 - Aug 2024 ● Led a team of interns and developed a platform which runs and manages various data scraping pipelines from scratch. ● Used Selenium and beautifulsoup4 for web scraping and applied various techniques like multithreading and multiprocessing for reducing the execution time. ● Also created a pipeline for generating Json files from the scraped data and uploading them on a AWS S3 bucket. HR Recruitment Portal Jun 2022 -Jan 2023 ● An AI driven portal that helps HR in shortlisting processes based on the job description without eliminating human input. ● This research addresses the manual inefficiencies in candidate screening during the hiring process. An algorithm was developed to automate resume evaluation, focusing on key features such as job skills, candidate bios, education, and experience. ● By assigning weighted scores to these features, recruiters can customize evaluations, potentially reducing the shortlisting process by 98% while incorporating optimization strategies for increased efficiency.
