I believe passionately that all children deserve an education that enables them to fulfill their potential. I am an internationally mobile educational manager and leader with 25 years of teaching, training, and school evaluation experience. I am a collaborative educational leader who is strategically effective, reliable, and incisive.
I have worked on school accreditation teams for the Council of International Schools (COIS) and trained to inspect British Schools Overseas. I have evaluated schools in Kuwait, Southern Turkey, Western Turkey, Oman, and Belgium and made strategic recommendations about teaching and learning in early years, primary and secondary phases of schools.
I have evaluated schools against environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria that included student wellbeing, health and safety, and child protection and ensured that schools adhere to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child. I have also mentored and coached school evaluators in evidence gathering and report writing.
I started training teachers when working for the British Council in Pakistan in 1996.
Teacher training was a focus of my Masters Degree in Education and the delivery of a wide range of professional development workshops to trainee teachers and experienced practitioners has been a key aspect of my career ever since. In addition to training English Language teachers in the low resource context of Pakistan, I have also designed and delivered training to English language teachers in the Portuguese state sector. I am currently developing the skills of teacher trainers in primary school teacher training institutes in Bangladesh. to help upgrade the skills of teachers at the primary level throughout the country.
My Master's thesis focused on the Design and Production of Reading Materials for EAL children in the United Kingdom. I have also contributed to Educational materials that are used in Slovenian state schools.
