Richard Montgomerie

I have two decades of startup experience and in this time I have been a co-founder of numerous tech startups encompassing digital music, media and communications management, highly advanced medical products, GPS services, digital payments, loyalty schemes and virtual wallets. I have also worked as a consultant for a range of startups.

From a design and development background I moved into digital project management, working for Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland, Wellington and Saatchi & Saatchi Global along with many other advertising and digital and design agencies. I have managed projects involving multiple vendors and budgets in the tens of millions of dollars.

My core strengths are in the details of project and team management, building companies from the ground up with all associated operational details, documentation, strategies, processes and systems. I have collated extensive resources in the areas of entrepreneurship and startup processes.

I am passionate about helping people who have great ideas in moving through the process of figuring out how to solve technical problems and build great ideas into viable, marketable products. I have been through the processes of patenting and trademarking multiple times, and I am well versed in developing corporate identities, branding and presentations.

I have experience in local and international negotiation with third parties that are required to become involved in partnerships that are needed in order to bring a concept to life. I am highly skilled in presentation documentation and detailing technical processes into easily comprehensible formats.
