I am a qualified procurement professional with CIPS (Level 6 Professional Diploma) from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) UK, a bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management from Kyambogo University. I have other practical trainings in Purchasing Intermediate, Materials Management Intermediate, Contracts and Procurement Fundamentals through CIPS and Total E&P). I therefore have a sound technical understanding of Procurement and Supply management practice.
I have worked in various supply chain roles with BRAC Uganda, Bollore Transport & Logistics, Total Energies, Smile Communications and National Housing and Construction Corporation. Under these roles I have individually and as part of teams developed and managed procurement guidelines and procedures, supplier databases, reports and provided supervisory support to teams to ensuring ethical, efficient and value for money procurement activity.
During this time, I have worked with diverse, multicultural teams, handled various procurement categories locally and internationally using procurement applications such as SAP and ARIBA. I am also well versed with computer applications like MS-office, Google sheets, Navision. This exposure has enhanced my people management, negotiation, leadership, change management skills among others.
