WHAT I DO: I help entrepreneurs and young professionals to develop their business and be more confident in
business English.
HOW I DO IT:
- I provide Hello English program “dare to speak” for business professionals what bring life and energy to
language education.
- I designed a young entrepreneur program based on the Business Model Generation book from Alexander
Osterwalder to give them a head start and reduce the risk of failure when they developing their business.
MY BACKGROUND: In the Netherlands, for more than 10 years, I had taken on various commercial projects
executed with great result for Laurus retail, DHL logistics, Staples office supplies. I implemented various
commercial pricing frameworks in various merchandise and buying departments resulting in major profits
with multiplier effect for example: sales increase, cost reduction, market share increase and better value
propositioning of various portfolios.
I have continued my experiences in Asia where I am currently based for the last 3,5 years. I setup a training
and development center in Indonesia to train and empower entrepreneurs and young professionals to maximize
their potential.

Responsible to setup a complete pricing framework from scratch. My responsibilities were to set the price
of goods, merchandise, and services for the company according to our new pricing strategy. This including
establishing policies, conducting pricing awareness training sessions, setting guidelines, and making
recommendations to senior management in regard to pricing and purchasing strategy to improve profitability.
In a nut shell, through this function, I have gained experience in marketing, new business development, sales,
and competitor analysis as well as market research.

Responsible for two strategic projects within finance to improve the profitability and reducing cost.

The first project was the recalculation of the internal invoice process which finally solved the problems of
administrative leakage between the finance and retail operation.
The second project was a process improvement project of the operational stock taking / balance process in the
800+stores including the redesign of the report for the retail operation.
Operational Audit Project Manager- Management Traineeship at Laurus
October 2001 - April 2002 (7 months)
Responsible for the strategic project within Operational Audit to reduce operational margin leakage in the
retail operation.
This project involved building a supply chain reporting module in Excel for the supermarket banners ;
Konmar, Super the Boer and Edah to decrease the operational leakage.
Results: Developed a test as well as the user manual for the supply chain Excel reporting module. Trained the
800+ supermarket managers through train the trainer principal.

Won a traineeship challenge at Laurus NV. As a part of their recruitment process, I was invited to compete
against 100 other potential candidates during the "Young Professional 24 Hours Challenge, Laurus NV.".
Ten teams with ten candidates were challenged to come up with a new retail concept and to present it to the
Board of directors of Laurus NV at the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam. In the following 24 –hours each
of candidates was observed by three different assessors from the HR department. Together with other 9
candidates, I was selected to enroll the young professional trainee program.
