Primary Role - Business Development & Strategic Planning Provide the Board with advice and guidance on developing and implementing critical managerial and strategic issues CEO, INDIAN CONTAINER LEASING COMPANY LIMITED (Promoted by Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited) *- Promoted a start-up subsidiary to Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited (subsidiary of IBP) in container leasing operations and, Pioneered the new concept of transporting containerized cargo in India through Indian Railways. Promoted this concept in the trucking industry as an alternative to the conventional truck body. Further developed the concept to transport special products - perishables, inflammables. The company began to pay dividends to shareholders within the first year of operations. Invited and accepted to head a Committee of the oil industry to provide containerized movement of petroleum products throughout India. Successfully launched 3 rakes of tank container for oil industry within a short time frame of 3 months. Evaluated market research on the growth and revenue potential for the joint venture. Worked with senior government officials to obtain necessary approvals to operate the plants.
