Worked extensively to characterize size and surface chemistry of nanoparticles. Used laboratory techniques including gel electrophoresis, coupling plasma mass spectrometry, dynamic light scattering, and PCR array.
Performed cell culture of kidney and liver cells and conducted experiments investigating cellular uptake of silver and gold nanoparticles ranging from 40-80 nanometers in size.
Executed histological work including paraffin embedding, sectioning, and staining of pig flap tissue for electron microscopy.
Maintained general upkeep of the lab environment, performing daily tasks such as preparing buffers and autoclaving lab equipment.
