Omair Lone

I am a recent graduate from the Project Management Studies postgraduate program at Sheridan College. Prior to this program, I graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelors of Arts in Geography degree with a Business Studies Certificate.
During my post-graduate studies at Sheridan College, I was provided with theoretical and practical project management experience. The theoretical knowledge broke down the foundations of project management, such as how to develop the scope of a project, management of potential project risks and creating a project schedule. Through client term projects, I was able to apply this knowledge by helping TAC Sports plan a new sports program. As part of the media outreach team, I successfully secured media promotion spots on Rogers TV, FM 105.9 Markham and in Snap’d Magazine. Additional project management experience is completed every year as a co-organizer of the Hamilton Muslim Basketball Association where each year, the season is started from scratch, requiring the completion of various tasks prior to the commencement of the season.
