Hello, I'm Okan Kurt, a highly experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for turning innovative ideas into reality. With a strong foundation in mechanical design and mechatronics, I've spent over 15 years honing my skills in various engineering disciplines, from product design to electronics, robotics, and automation. Holding a masters degree in mechatronics, my educational background complements my practical expertise.

My journey in engineering has been a diverse one. I've had the privilege of working on an array of projects, ranging from medical devices to cutting-edge machine vision systems, and from industrial machinery to intricate CNC routers. Throughout my career, I've exhibited a knack for creative problem-solving and a relentless drive to bring concepts to life. My hands-on approach, combined with my proficiency in SolidWorks and other design tools, has enabled me to take rough ideas and transform them into functional prototypes and products efficiently and cost-effectively.

One of my notable achievements includes the design and production of an automated O-Ring test device. In this project, I conceptualized, designed, and fabricated a device aimed at automating the well-known O-Ring test, used to assess finger muscle strength and mental state. This device incorporates force feedback control, collecting data through force sensors and linear potentiometers. It even offers Bluetooth connectivity for seamless interaction via a mobile application. The ability to log and access test data online further demonstrates my commitment to innovation and user-friendly design.

In another significant endeavor, I designed a wearable rehabilitation device that allows patients to monitor their leg range of motion during post-surgery exercises and the design is patented. My career at Ford Otosan further enriched my skills, where I spent three years designing parts for automobiles and simulating their durability. The success of this project led to my client securing a patent for the innovative concept, highlighting my capacity to deliver groundbreaking solutions.

My proficiency extends beyond mechanical design. I possess substantial experience in electronics, including embedded hardware design, printed circuit board development, and IoT applications. My coding skills encompass C and C++, with hands-on experience in Atmel and ESP32 microprocessors. Neat, readable code is my hallmark.

At my workshop in Istanbul, Turkey, I've established in-house capabilities for various aspects of product development, including high-resolution 3D printing, CNC machining, and more. I've cultivated valuable relationships with local machine shops and engineers to augment my capabilities when needed.
