ABOUT MYSELF
I am a customer experience professional with a strong background in
managing and optimizing customer interactions. Since joining Itex
Integrated Service in 2021, I have successfully improved customer
relationships and satisfaction through strategic initiatives. I have also
held roles as a daily collection officer and a teacher, which have further
honed my skills in data entry, client management, and education.
I am deeply passionate about continuous learning and personal growth.
My interests include singing, watching movies, writing, and listening to
music. I am also an established African lyricist in the gospel genre,
known for weaving deep cultural narratives into my music. I strive to
bring dedication, creativity, and a detail-oriented approach to
everything I do.
MY HERITAGE
AND ROOTS
Ihumudumu, Ekpoma
Proud to be an Esan Lady
As an Esan girl from Ekpoma, Ihumudumu, my cultural and familial heritage profoundly shapes who I am. While
I do not speak my native language, the Esan culture remains a significant part of my identity, symbolizing my
connection to my roots and our rich history.
Our traditions are deeply rooted in communal living, respect for elders, and strong family bonds. Celebrations
and festivals like the Ihuan festival preserve our cultural heritage. Values such as respect, hard work, and
integrity, instilled from a young age, guide my interactions and decisions.
Family and community have been constant sources of support and inspiration. Growing up in Ekpoma,
Ihumudumu, I learned the importance of helping one another and fostering a sense of belonging and
responsibility.
Storytelling is a cherished tradition in my culture, used to impart wisdom, history, and morals. It has inspired
my passion for writing and lyrical storytelling. Music and dance are integral parts of our celebrations,
expressing joy, sorrow, and unity. As an African lyricist in the gospel genre, I draw inspiration from these
cultural expressions.
MY FAMILY STORIES AND TRADITION
My grandmother's wisdom has always been a guiding light, with her tales of resilience and perseverance deeply
influencing my outlook on life. The stories about our ancestors, especially those who played significant roles in
our community's history, instill pride and a sense of responsibility to uphold our family's legacy.
Every year, my family gathers for a reunion in Ekpoma, Ihumudumu. This event is a time to reconnect, share
stories, and celebrate our heritage with traditional dishes, cultural dances, and songs, reinforcing our bond and
cultural identity. The Ihuan festival, celebrated with enthusiasm, involves traditional music, dance, and
storytelling, reminding us of our cultural roots and uniting the community in joyous celebration.
On New Year's Day, we perform a ritual of thanksgiving and blessings, with elders offering prayers for the
family's prosperity and health. Symbolic gifts are exchanged, representing our hopes and wishes for the coming
year. These stories and traditions are integral parts of our identity, shaping our values and perspectives, and are
celebrated and remembered through shared experiences, ensuring our heritage is passed down through
generations.
