• Developed the Automatic Expense Check Print and Distribution System for AIG, a major
multinational insurance company. Programmed in COBOL in an IBM Mainframe environment.
• Programmed MICR for a Troy Printer so that it automatically printed checks, stuffed and
addressed envelopes and diverted envelopes to destinations depending on program criteria
embedded in MICR.

RISK PROCESSING

• Organized and planned the Risk Processing System
• Designed transaction flow, file structures, user interface and interfaces with existing accounting
systems
• Optimized programming code for efficiency and clarity
• Implemented all user changes to original design
• Responsible for quality assurance of all programs in the system and for the system as a whole,
including 70 new programs and 20 existing programs written in COBOL and COBOL/CICS.
JOURNAL RECOVERY SYSTEM
• Designed and programmed the CICS Journal Recovery Utility that recreates online transaction
files in the event of a system crash.
PROPERTY INSURANCE
• Led the conversion of the Property Loss System from batch processing to CICS online
transaction processing.
