Studies with a degree in Development Studies. I am currently a Research Officer with
Associates for Change and has 5 years of work experience in the field of social and economic
research and evaluations, Resettlement and Community /stakeholder Engagement and
communication for Projects. I have participated in a number of research and evaluative studies.
Notably among the studies are Parental and Learner Choice in Basic Education across Ghana’s
Three Northern Regions (Dec. 2017), Collection and Analysis of Most Significant Change
(MSC) stories (Feb.2017-March 2018) for UNICEF Ghana, Ghana MADE Independent
Evaluation Data collection Wave 2 (February 2017) for WYG, UNICEF Independent
Operational Assessment of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (April 2016), Ghana MADE
Independent Evaluation Data collection Wave 1 (February 2016) where I was the field team
leader for the Northern Region team. I was also an Assistant Team Leader and a field enumerator
during the World Bank funded Impact Assessment of the Untrained Teacher Diploma in Basic
Education (UTDBE) programme which had a baseline, a mid-term and an end line surveys. More
so, I served as a Research Assistant to the External Evaluator on Education during the World
Food Programme Mid-Term Operations Evaluation- Ghana Country Programme. I am
conversant with both quantitative and qualitative data collection approaches and analysis as well
as monitoring and evaluation techniques.

Improvement in Roman Ridge- Phase one

SAL Consult and Associates for Change are jointly provided Resettlement and Community
Engagement Services for the LV Bifurcation and Network Improvement in Roman Ridge
Districts. The project is one of the projects under the Ghana Power Compact agreement between
the Ghana Government and the United States of America through the Millennium Challenge
Corporation (MCC). The project involved planting new electric poles, injection of new

transformers and stringing of low voltage and medium voltage lines to improve the reliability of
the network, replacement of poor joints and connections and substandard fittings laying of
underground and overhead cables in the Roman Ridge ECG Districts. The communities included
Airport residential area, Roman Ridge, Dzorwulu, Abelemkpe, Kanda, Nima, Maamobi, Alajo,
Kotobabi and Accra Newtown I served as the community engagement specialist for the phase
one of the project which involved identifying and engaging Stakeholders and Project Affected
Persons (PAPs). I developed a Stakeholder Engagement, Communication and Outreach Plan for
the project which was used to guide our engagements and consultations with PAPs and
Stakeholders. I worked together with the Resettlement team to effectively engage all PAPs and
key stakeholders of the project i.e Assembly members, Municipal Assemblies and Mallam Atta
Market Association.
Project: Resettlement and Community Engagement Services for LV Bifurcation and Network
Improvement in Kaneshie and Dansoman Districts- Phase one

SAL Consult and Associates for Change are jointly provided Resettlement and Community
Engagement Services for the LV Bifurcation and Network Improvement in Kaneshie and
Dansoman Districts. The project involved laying of underground and overhead cables,
replacement of substandard electricity poles and installation of new transformers in the
Dansoman and Kaneshie ECG Districts to help improve power supply in communities under the
two districts. The project communities included Dansoma, Dansoman Russia, Odorkor,
Darkuman, Bubuashi, Kaneshie Pamprom, North Kanehie, Nyamekye, Adabraka, Abeka and
Apenkua. I served as the community engagement specialist for the phase one of the project
which involved identifying and engaging Stakeholders and Project Affected Persons (PAPs) who
were to be displaced permanently as a result of the project. I developed a Stakeholder
Engagement, Communication and Outreach Plan for the project which was used to guide our
engagements and consultations with PAPs and Stakeholders. I worked together with the
Resettlement team to effectively engage all PAPs and key stakeholders of the project i.e Assemly
members, Municipal Assemblies and community development officers. I helped organise two
town hall meetings (one each in Dansoman and Kaneshie) to engage community members on the
project.
Project: Resettlement and Community Engagement Services for the Construction of Bulk
Supply Point in Kasoa - Phase One.

SAL Consult and Associates for Change are jointly provided Resettlement and Community
Engagement Services for the Construction of a Bulk Supply Point in Kasoa in the Awutu Senya
East Municipality of the Central Region. The project involved the construction of Bulk Supply
Point to help improve power supply. I served as the community engagement specialist for the

Affected Persons (PAPs) who were to be displaced permanently as a result of the project. I

together with the Resettlement team to effectively engage and had series of consultations with
the PAPs, Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly and Traditional Authorities to reach an
agreement for the relocation of the PAPs after receiving their compensations.
Project: Evaluation of the Train for Tomorrow (T4T) Project-Second Phase.

The Varkey T4T project introduces new teaching methodologies and approaches to trainee
teachers at the Colleges of Education (CoE) to improve their teaching delivery. The evaluation
was to assess how the beneficiary teachers were applying the new teaching methods in their
lesson delivery at the school level. I conducted interviews at the Colleges of Education which
included interviews with College Principal, Tutors, and FGD with teacher trainees. I coordinated
the work of data entry clerks and supervised data cleaning and processing. I was responsible for
uploading the data collection software (ODK) onto the tablets used for collecting data at the
basic school and colleges of education levels. I also assisted the project evaluation manager to
coordinate and supervise data collection from 12 Colleges of Education and 120 schools across
24 districts in Ghana.

Jamestown, Kokomlemle and Kotobabi to engage with PAPs and community residents. I also
helped develop a Stakeholder Engagement, Communication and Outreach Plan for the projects.

I participated in the development of field instruments and the piloting of the instruments. I served
as a facilitator/resource person in the training of district child protection stakeholders, officers of
the Department of Community Development (DCD), field researchers, representatives of NGOs
and state institutions involved in the implementation of child protection interventions. I led the
research team to collect and select MSC stories in the West Mamprusi District in the Northern
Region and the Ningo-Prampram District in the Greater Accra Region. I also participated in the
qualitative analysis and report writing process. I facilitated workshops to train officers from the
Department of Community Development and some NGOs on qualitative data collection using
the MSC Technique

I was part of the team that collected qualitative data on parental and learner choice in basic
education in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions. I was part of the team that
carried out the study in Pusiga District of the Upper East Region. The study was to investigate
the factors related to parental and learner choice and preference in relation to different types of
basic education offered at the community level including: formal primary education, private,
religious and complementary education systems. I also assisted in the data analysis and report
writing related to the Upper East region.
Project: Operational Assessment of Ghana Home Grown School Feeding Programme
Client: UNICEF Ghana.

I was part of the Research Team of Associates for Change that conducted the Operational
Assessment of the Ghana School Feeding Programme under the auspices of UNICEF Ghana and
the Ministry of Gender Children Social Protection. The Assessment included an organisational
review of the Ghana School Feeding at the national, regional and district levels. It also included

an in-depth field study of the district and community structures implementing the school feeding
programme across northern, middle and southern Ghana and consultations with key stakeholders
involved in the Ghana School Feeding Programme. Supervised and took part in the transcription
of qualitative data collected from the field. I was also responsible for overseeing the data entry

Project: Independent Evaluation Data Collection on Ghana MADE interventions Wave 1 on
onions

I was team leader for the West Mamprusi team in the Independent Evaluation Data Collection on
Ghana MADE interventions in the Onion Sector, by WYG International. The field activities
involved conducting focus group discussions and face-to-face interviews with onion farmers,
Agric Extension Agents, and Partner Organizations on their knowledge, views and experiences
of the new onion varieties introduced by Ghana MADE and the use of Good Agronomic
Practices (GAPs). I also managed logistics and the budget for the field activities.

I was a research assistant to the external evaluation on gender in the evaluation of WfP country
programme. The evaluation was to assess the impact of WfP School feeding programme on
enrolment, transition and retention in school. I coordinated the work of the translators and took
part in the data collection. I analysed statistical data on enrolment and Take Home Rationing
(THR) in the WfP School Feeding Programme beneficiary schools. I also assisted in the writing
of the report.

(UTDBE) Programme

Date: May, 2014 – June, 2016
Location: Jirap, Nandom, Upper West Region
I served as a team member for the Upper West region team during the three phases of the impact
evaluation (the baseline study, the lesson observation survey and end line study). It was to assess
the extent to which the programme has achieved its objective of upgrading the skills of the
trainee teachers in the deprived districts, in order to improve learning outcomes. The assessment
was also be used to evaluate the implementation of the programme and the impact on trainees’
satisfaction and career ambitions. I participated in field work at the national, regional, district,
and school levels by collecting data using interviews, questionnaires and lesson observations. I
was part of the data processing team and supported in writing sections of the final report.
