French is my first language because I grew up in a French speaking environment. I am passionate about other cultures and different languages, so whenever there is an opportunity to learn a new language, I'll do it.
But the language that I really enjoyed learning and mastered is English. So English has become like a second language for me after French.
The first time I got into translation was when I was at university and some Americans would come there and I will be their guide and translator.
Later when I joined the company in which I am currently, I was dropped into the translation service where I had to translate training manuals from English to French.
The feedback that I received from my Managers were that I was reliable and trustworthy when it came to translate. The accuracy of the text was almost exactly as in the original. Seeing that, I was sent on a translation course where I received a certificate of competence in Translation.
