Melanie Del Rio

My name is Melanie Del Rio but you can call me "Mela"for short. I am 28 years old and an IT in profession. I graduated college in University of Makati at 2011. I belong to a big family, in which I have 8 siblings. Growing up in a big family is not easy. When I started working, I focused in helping my family. I became the bread-winner and was able to help my sister go to college, pay rent for our house, provide food and many more.

I started my career as an IT Helpdesk Specialist in an International Company way back 2011, but it is based here in the Philippines. A month before my graduation in college, I was already hired for Level UP International Co. Ltd. wherein I stayed there for 6 years. Level Up was changed to KOG Games after 3 years, but the management remains. My main role in Level UP/KOG Games is to support our internal colleagues, international colleagues via remote desktop, and lastly the players of our games. I am providing support in terms of troubleshooting technical concerns, managing different kind of servers like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Game and Web Servers, etc. I am also responsible in setting up Conference Room for video call in our global partners, troubleshooting printers even though it is already out of my scope, I do research on how to troubleshoot it. I was also included in hiring the right person for our team. I left KOG Games, since I was looking for a high-paying job to fulfill my dreams for my family.

Since my goal is to search for a high-paying job, I tried to enter BPO company. At 2017, I became a Chat Support Specialist in HCL Technologies for a Search Engine Company. In just a short period of time, I was promoted to be an SME (Subject-Matter Expertise). I left HCL for me to grow.

Now, I am an IT Technical Specialist in PetSure Services, Inc. It is an Australian Pet Insurance Company and my main role is to support their newly acquired account called Trupanion. I support the Manila team in terms of technical troubleshooting, installing computers, doing asset inventory.
