I had the opportunity to volunteer as member of the group that supported my
local Age UK charity organisation. During this, I was able to carry out
presentations to convey information to a mature group of people and giving them
an insight into the IT world. I also had the task of informing them on basic features
of computers and the internet and how to use them. This opportunity enabled me
to focus on independent learning skills, as some in the group had little
understanding and some had a lot of key knowledge about computing. This
helped me strength my problem solving and communication skills greatly.
