Teaching is touching lives forever. As sentimental as it may sound, it has been one of my personal mantras for almost a decade now. With a passion in teaching and learning, I have been in the profession since 2011. Over a thousand names and lives have been put unto my care as a second parent in the classroom, all with different backgrounds, needs, and stories to tell. Unconsciously, being a teacher has become my vocation, a worthwhile activity that brings unmeasured joy and sorrow.
Experienced and mastered delivery of various subject matters have honed my skills and expertise in efficient language teaching. I have applied a number of trends, approaches, and practices in teaching to better suit and meet varied learning needs and expectations. Trainings, write shops and workshops, seminars, and even units in the graduate school, all these have been part of the journey to achieve such fluency, all to better impart meaningful knowledge and skills to learners.
Similarly, easy to complicated lessons, with numerous discussions and exercises are expected. However, establishing the connection to learners is a different strategy to be taken. Making learning purposeful, meaningful, and permanent has always been the goal. Nothing is ever easily achieved, but continuous, persistent, and consistent effort and mind-setting serve the best outcome.
Together with formal language teaching, I have also been involved in other academic and non-academic activities such as content writing for public and private organizations, and events hosting that surely enabled more proficiency to skills that I already possess.
It may be put in numerable ways, yet the humbling and soul-feeding satisfaction that teaching gives can never be put into value or figures.
