Experience
Xplor Technologies – September 2024 – Present
Working as a senior developer in a squad of five full stack developers as part of a much wider
team developing a health & wellbeing application. I am a key member of the squad developing
mainly in PHP and Symfony, while maintaining an api in python and a frontend in Angular JS.
The team that I am working amongst is an international team, consisting of IT professionals
from the UK, the US, Poland and India.
Marmalade Insurance – March 2024 – September 2024
Led a development team of three PHP and Symfony developers, collaborating closely with
project managers, DevOps engineers, the frontend team, and quality assurance professionals
to roll out multiple projects. Addressed and resolved various risk events within the company
by identifying root causes and implementing solutions. Played a key role in adopting agile
methodology within the team, starting with a presentation to introduce the concept, followed
by leading standups, story pointing sessions, sprint planning, and sprint retrospective
meetings.

Ingot Portal Limited – January 2013 – September 2023
Initially, I was a part of the IT Department in a freight forwarding company where I played a
pivotal role in developing Ingot Portal. This system served as a centralized hub for efficiently
exchanging data within the supply chain. As its capabilities grew evident, in 2018, our
department separated off into our own company Ingot Portal Limited, dedicated to
commercializing and selling the product to a broader market. This journey from an internal
project to an independent venture has been immensely rewarding, as it allowed us to unleash
the full potential of Ingot Portal and contribute to the industry's digital transformation.
Throughout my tenure at Ingot Portal, I have held three distinct job titles.
Systems Developer – January 2013 – May 2019
Upon joining the company as a graduate from university, I swiftly discovered my passion for
crafting powerful APIs in PHP, adhering to the Symfony framework. A pivotal phase of my
journey involved actively contributing to the migration process, transitioning from in-house
servers to the highly efficient cloud servers hosted by AWS. During this period, I also gained
valuable experience in frontend development, starting with the migration of the original
AngularJS codebase to the more modern Angular framework. This diverse exposure to both
backend and frontend technologies has enriched my skillset and fuelled my determination to
excel in delivering seamless and cutting-edge solutions in the world of software development.
Development Team Lead – May 2019 – May 2022
In 2019, I earned a promotion to lead the development team, which comprised four skilled
developers. This opportunity allowed me to step into the role of a Scrum Master, leading an
agile development team with efficiency and finesse. My responsibilities encompassed guiding
the team through sprint planning sessions, facilitating daily standups, and overseeing
comprehensive sprint review sessions at the culmination of each two-week sprint. Embracing
a dynamic approach, I balanced my role as a leader with hands-on involvement in the
product's development. This blended approach enabled me to foster a cohesive and
collaborative work environment while actively contributing to the advancement of the
product.
