I’m Margot,

A South African born and raised in Johannesburg, where I developed a strong passion for exercise, architecture, interior design, organization, and mindfulness. Growing up in challenging circumstances has deeply influenced who I am today—hardworking, resilient, and driven by the belief that nothing worth having comes easily. This mindset has led me to pursue an unconventional career, working with international companies in dynamic environments, all while nurturing my love for travel and cultural discovery. Currently, I work as a Digital Marketing Project Manager at BestSelf Co, a consumer goods and personal development company based in Texas, U.S.

I also freelance with ProjectPeak Solutions, a project management firm based in Wyoming. With over four years of experience in project management within the marketing industry, I’m excited to take the next step in my career. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with high-profile stakeholders such as Forbes, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Rio Tinto, Deloitte, Anglo American, Woolworths, and TED Talks. These experiences have strengthened my skills in stakeholder communications and management. I oversee the full project lifecycle, from scope management to deliverable coordination and execution. I’ve had the opportunity to support large-scale initiatives, such as a cost-reduction project for Netcare, a leading private healthcare provider in South Africa. This project resulted in $5.8 million in savings. More recently, I helped drive significant revenue growth during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday period, leading to over $8 million in revenue. I am proficient in tools like Microsoft Project, Trello, Basecamp, Slack, Monday.com, ClickUp, and Asana, and my attention to detail ensures high-quality outcomes.

I’m also passionate about sustainability. I had the honor of competing in the International Hult Prize, where I helped develop a sustainable shoe made from mushrooms. This commitment to environmental conservation extends to my support for whale preservation efforts and my dedication to protecting our planet.
