I started this job as a contracted writer to work on a 70,000-word piece on the Enneagram system of personality. Specifically, I wrote about the relationship dynamics as taught by the Enneagram model. I was contracted to write another piece (and then another, and another), until they hired me as their go-to content creator. I’ve also begun working for them in a coaching capacity, as time allows.

I tutored a half a dozen students through the- school year in individual, 1-2hour long sessions. Subjects included basic math, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, advanced algebra, English literature, & English composition. The course-work was a combination of assignments and a self-designed curriculum, depending on the students’ need and skill-level.

Worked two shifts per week as a writing center tutor at Teacher’s College, aiding students in writing assignments, resume creation, proofreading/editing, and project design. Often times, I’d work with one student from the beginning of an assignment until the due date, helping them make outlines, organize their thoughts, and edit drafts.

Risk & Resilience Curriculum Facilitator @ Bard High School Early College (BHSEC), New York, NY
Spring 2013
Facilitated a 10-week resilience curriculum to the freshman of BHSEC. Curriculum included evidence-based theories about emotional intelligence, cognitive-behavior techniques, organizational psychology, having difficult conversations, healthy sleep habits, optimal focus/study habits, among other concepts. Classes included group dialogue, discussion, lecture, reading responses, and active questions. This was part of a larger study done by NYU’s Child Study Center examining the effect of resilience education.
