INTRODUCTION
In today's data-driven business
environment, optimising human
resources through analytics is crucial for
organisational success. This HR Analytics
Dashboard for Altera Co. provides key
insights into workforce demographics,
training initiatives, and performance
metrics to support strategic decisionmaking.
Scope and Key Highlights
With a total employee of 23,490, Altera Co. has a
predominantly young, female workforce with a strong focus
on training and development.
Demographics: The majority of employees are between
20 and 35, and 63.26% are female.
Training: The company has invested in significant training,
with 29,462 training hours recorded and 84.29% of
training KPIs met.
Recruitment channels include social media and the
company's website, and there is a potential gender gap in
performance ratings.
Recruitment: Social media and the company's website
have been effective recruitment channels, with a
combined 23,490 hires. Social media has been
particularly successful, accounting for 13,529 hires.
Performance: The average previous rating for female
employees is slightly higher than for male employees,
suggesting a potential gender gap.
This dashboard allows us to identify trends, improve
processes, and celebrate achievements, ultimately enhancing

effective analytics. The data used for this HR
Analytics Dashboard was meticulously
prepared to ensure it meets the highest
standards of quality and usability.

PREPARATION
The data for this dashboard was provided by the HR department
of Altera.
To ensure accuracy and reliability, the data underwent thorough
cleaning:
Empty rows in the average rating column were replaced with 0.
Values in the contract type column were renamed from "pt" and
"ft" to "Part Time" and "Full Time" for clarity.
Transformations included standardising column names and
formatting data for consistency before visualisation.

sessions, with 8,429 KPIs exceeding 80% met. The Sales and
Marketing department recorded the highest number of trainings,
while the Legal department recorded the least.

strategies and improvements I recommend:

CONCLUSION
In wrapping up this report, it’s important to
reflect on the insights derived from the
dashboard and the implications they hold for
Altera.
This report reveals Altera's youthful workforce and high
retention. The dashboard shows how social media
recruitment supports a dynamic yet stable workforce.
Recommendations focus on boosting engagement and
social media use, while improvements aim to refine data
analysis for better insights.
I recommend adding metrics on employee satisfaction
and reasons for departure. Enhancing the dashboard
with these elements will offer a clearer view of
workforce dynamics and support more effective
strategy development.
