Louis van den Berg

I worked in systems development and IT since 2001. I have worked in London for Anglo American.

I started as a database developer but progressed to senior financial systems architect. Where I designed the architecture for their global financial systems running in 4 global data centres serving 22 countries. My main responsibilities was to design the architecture and project manage the implementation globally.

This has exposed me to work with many different cultures, and greatly improve my communication skills. After 11 years I moved back to Namibia, where I was working for 3 years as Chief Systems architect for Namibia's largest meat processing companies. Re-designing their 20 year old systems and project manage the development of these new systems in a modern Java based system. This spanned from production software, to management software to financial software.

Now I am looking to use my skills as a freelancer.
