Linda Middleton

I have worked in the travel industry since 1982. In 2008, I moved from the UK to Spain where I continued working in the travel industry remotely. I am self-employed and freelance, so I am used to working on my own. Automation makes it easy to communicate by email, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, etc. Communication and the ability to do the job are not a problem even though I am working remotely and across different time zones in some instances.

I am self-disciplined and can work to deadlines. My work is accurate, and I am an efficient and adaptable person.

 In 2016/2017, I qualified as a proofreader with the College of Media and Publishing, London. It was initially a hobby because I was working full-time in the travel industry. Since then, I have proofread all books written by US author Charlene Raddon. She is also an Amazon bestselling author. I also worked very closely with Charlene on her last book, assisting with character development and plot. I am currently working with her on her next book, due to be released around 1st August 2021.

 Due to the Covid pandemic and the drastic changes in the travel industry, I have been working freelance in this field to a greater extent and have been editing and proofreading books for

a publishing house based in Greece and the UAE (historical romance novels between 60,000 and 80,000 words), and for a company in Florida as a basic editor/proofreader (memoirs of around 120,000 words).
