In addition, supervise internal staff, including Information Technology, coordinate administrative assistants and receptionists. Serve on the team with Executive and Associate Directors and Board of Directors to develop agency strategic planning documents, develop and implement personnel policies, staff development plans, individual performance appraisals and work plans, sales, customer service. Serve as Emergency Management liaison to ensure all families and individuals with disabilities have the information and tools they need to create a plan in case there should be a disaster. Highlights include: Participate as a member of the Statewide Community Advisory Group focused on partnering community organizations, agencies and state and local emergency management to ensure people with disabilities and other individuals with access and functional needs have equal access to emergency management programs and services.  Collaborated on the development of an Accessible Emergency Communications Board for first responders to increase knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with people with disabilities, other individuals with access and functional needs and different languages. Served on the team to develop an Autism awareness two-day emergency preparedness training focused for state and local emergency management, first responders and partner agencies. Provide education and outreach to ensure families and individual with disabilities have the information and tools they need to create a plan in case there should be a disaster in collaboration with other agencies and organizations including Voluntary Organizations Against Disasters, American Red Cross, RI’s 211 system thru United Way, Department of Health, emergency management and first responders. Maintain resources including topics on preparedness, communications, evacuation, disaster location centers and safety instructions for people with disabilities and their families. Collaborated with RI Emergency Management Agency on the development and implementation of the statewide Emergency Registry for first responders and families/individuals with disabilities. Utilized this initiative as an opportunity to provide education to the community on importance of emergency preparedness. Provide leadership and coordination for Agency events, including the annual meeting, retreats, staff meetings and annual conferences. Oversee Agency resource development, fundraising, cultivate and strengthen relationships with key partners and funders at the local, state, and federal levels.
