Hi. I'm Leah. Currently, I'm a Human Resource and Administration Manager in one of the oldest gold mining companies in the Philippines. I oversee and manage the Strategic HR functions, including the administration unit.
I also take on special company projects that allow me to be more creative like conceptualizing video shoots until editing during company events. I also write articles for the company newsletter and annual reports.
In the earlier days of my career, I had been an HR Coordinator for an international pharmaceutical company assisting HR Executives on calendar management, appointment setting, document preparation, and other tasks that will make their demanding jobs a bit easier.
I was also a Learning and Development Coordinator for a global IT company, scheduling trainings, creating courses, monitoring development, and recording attendance in their learning platform.
I used to work for one of the largest port operators in the Philippines as a Human Resource Officer, doing end-to-end projects from conceptualization to execution, and even the administrative tasks that come with the project or activity since I am a "one-woman team".
Before my HR career, I was once a Guidance Counselor. I had a short stint as a substitute preschool and art teacher. Now, I manage a team of millennials, myself, being part of the generation. I love training, coaching, and mentoring younger team members.
I am seeking a part-time job as I would also like to be more productive on weekends and after office hours. I want to update my skillsets, too with new technology, and new ways of doing work beyond borders. It will also allow me as an HR practitioner to better understand the latest trends and practices on work arrangements, new systems, and organizations in general.
In my free time, I like to read, organize the house, and curate my Instagram feed. I also travel whenever I get the chance to.
