I worked as a technical writer at MediaRadar for two years. In this position, I built our library of documentation from the ground up, creating a brand new, company-wide style guide and writing over seventy-five documents about using software to process data within the publishing industry. One of my proudest accomplishments in this position was building a glossary that defined more than three-hundred industry-specific and company-specific terms. I strategically developed the glossary’s interactive nature that allowed users to click on words within definitions to find the definitions for the words they clicked on. This helped users find what they needed faster than ever.
I also worked on a remote team at Mozilla. In this position, I got firsthand experience of what remote work is like, especially on a team where everyone had infectious enthusiasm and a passion for open source. I also showed my manager and my colleagues that I am the type of employee who gets things done.
