In my past role as Business Editor for Saint Mary’s College of California, I gathered, created and managed all of the content from social media to articles about business school events as well as a monthly newsletter. I am well versed in writing everything from white papers to content development and website maintenance for internal and external communications.
I enjoy the challenge of engaging an audience in a fast-moving environment without sacrificing accuracy or grammar.
I worked as interim assistant director for a year, so I am quite experienced in all levels of workflow related to content and technical writing, as well as supporting a team of higher ups. I also have about four years of graduate business school experience, and have taken MBA classes. I’ve worked with teams as well, gathering my own group of volunteers or freelance writers to manage within government and education sectors.
I have experience working as a liaison with professional writers, artists, tech CEO’s and others to promote their work or events. Also worked in a law firm for the first few years of my career, coordinating legal documents for lawyers and paralegals and the office manager on site as an in-house representative for Heller Ehrman.
I have worked as a journalist and content writer for trade, regional, national and global magazines and digital publication, and have written for Gluten-Free Living, The New York Times, Oakland Magazine, Saint Mary's Magazine, The Music & Sound Retailer, The East Bay Monthly, East Bay Express, GetAbstract, Punk Globe and PoV Magazine. I am also a fourth generation San Franciscan (rare!), who used to play live local music.
