Hello! My name is Keith Johnson. I am a Senior Tech Writer from Hollywood, Florida (USA) who has served the high-tech world for twenty solid years and have helped not only developers and system architects but also business development managers and executives. The most-read deliverables (that I have composed) for developers and IT departments include software/system requirements, test scripts that can be automated, user guides, and admin guides. The most-read deliverables (that I have authored) for business development managers and executives include white papers, product documentation, and blog posts. The most-read deliverables (that I have written) for human resource teams include policies and procedures (manuals), onboarding guides, and standard operating procedures (guides). Aside from my in-office work, I infrequently self-publish books to help those in my field. Among my books (currently live at Amazon.com) include the Google Productivity Guide, the Affirmations Productivity Guide, Windows 10 for Seniors and Beginners, the Windows 10 Pocket Guide, 365 Stellar Soft Skills, 365 Technical Writing Tips and 365 Limitless Verbs. My philosophy of technology is simple: if there is a cost-effective and highly-praised commercial system, let's give it a run. However, if a system is too expensive or too difficult to implement, let's turn to open source alternatives and give them a try. I honor Linux alongside Windows. I honor SQL Server alongside MySQL. I honor C# alongside Java. My goal as a Technical Writer is to empower my reader base so that new technology can be learned and put into productivity. Technology is always changing, and documentation is the silver bullet that mankind can use to "timestamp" what we have now so as we move into the future, we know (in detail) what has been done. Windows 10 is a great example. Several great features from Windows 7 - like the Start Menu and Windows Defender - are now in Windows 10. Documentation is an important reflection point for software development and business development teams alike. Documentation can also be used for training and passing government or industry-specific audits. It is an honor to server great companies doing great things in terms of technology.
