Roles & Responsibilities
Ensuring regular health checkups of different network connections and optical devices as well as troubleshooting the devices with respective teams for resolving issues related to power fluctuations, device down issues etc.
Fetched logs and created reports about incidents on a weekly basis.
Having hands-on experience over Incident Management tools such as Remedy, ICM, and a variety of monitoring Tools such as TNMS, Syslog, RDP, PHYNET Tool.
Having knowledge on optical devices such as ADVA and GROOVE as well as experience in creating and assigning tickets to DCS engineers through GDCO and raising RMA tickets if the devices are found to be faulty.
Maintaining the reachability of fiber connections between two or more Data centers and playing the role of POC at the time of any Fiber cut or Fiber Migration Activities (Change management)
Trained and mentored junior & Senior engineers as well as helped in monitoring and supporting Incident Management workflow to improve overall team performance.
Monitoring and guiding the network of Microsoft Pune Data Center.
