Kagiso Norleen Matebesi

Kagiso Matebesi is a qualified, dedicated and experienced program coordinator. Her most recent role has been the coordination Poverty Eradication Programmes as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.

The main responsibilities being to provide oversight for a programs and projects planning, evaluation, knowledge management and monitoring in the district. She has been working with communities to alleviate poverty as one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which is also inclusive of localizing these SDGs for communities and programmes we work.

In addition to this, Kagiso Matebesi is founder of Mosadi Thari Trust geared at reducing gender inequality across Botswana by empowering women and girls especially form disadvantaged backgrounds.

My previous work experience has seen her work in the financial sector. Where she worked on multiple products and service engagement with clients. Combining entrepreneurial drive with business-management skills to drive gains in revenue, market share and profit performance.

Kagiso Matebesi has a Masters in Economics from the University of Botswana, to this she has also acquired professional courses throughout her career. She is an African Feminist Macroeconomic Academy 2020 – Feminist Trade Policy Training Programme Alumni, in addition to this she is a YALI Regional Leadership Centre Southern Africa Programme Alumni Cohort 8 Online – Public Management and Governance.

Her life and career have been driven by a strong passion to bring change and solutions to the challenges the African continent faces, and she would love to play an integral part in enacting that.
