I am a mechanical engineer who has been recently shifted over more into the software development side of engineering tasks. I can CAD, or program a robot. As a mechanical engineer by training, I am familiar with many of the common skills, such as CAD, FEA, & manufacturing. Recently, due to research requirements, have gained much experience using Machine Learning with particular emphasis on Computer Vision (Image Classification & Segmentation) and Reinforcement Learning.
My undergraduate emphasis was in the design and implementation of control systems, mechantronics, and the use of microcontrollers such as the Arduino, Teensy, & ESP32.
I am currently looking for jobs that will either boost my skills or force me to stay in touch with skills I have not used in a while. I am not looking for work that require a firm deadline, due to time constraints from my current academic pursuits. I would prefer working on projects which are flexible and where I can provide my skills as needed with the time I have available. As such, I am currently not looking to get paid, but attempting to build a cache of experience and completed projects, for future freelance work.
