I was hired to make cold calls to hoteliers like General Managers and Managing Directors anywhere in the globe. And sometimes, I was also doing prospecting calls - lead generation. I was selling to them a product that they've never seen or heard of. I was also working closely with our Sales Directors and Sales Managers who could meet with the hoteliers. Closing the sale over the phone was the goal but we can also arrange appointment for meetings, if needed. Over the course of almost 7 months with the company, I was able to up my sales skills even more and confidence in closing deals over the phone or setup appointments for a meeting.
Convergys - Telesales Subject Matter Expert
I've worked for Telstra-Convergys. Telstra is the number 1 and the largest telecommunications in Australia. I started as a Sales Consultant. But I worked my way up to being a Subject Matter Expert in just a few months. And I still managed to be awarded as the Top 1 Consultant during the process.I love working with the Australians more than anyone else. Understanding both the company and the clients need is one of the key factors to my work's success. As a Subject Matter Expert, I immersed myself in working with a team and with the Aussie Culture and language.

One of my main tasks assigned to me was to help customers in the United States track their packages. To become a Universal agent, you have to go through several stages first until you get certified. One of EGS's accounts was United Parcel Service (UPS), the number 1 carrier in the US. I was privileged to work with such a big company.

I was under Comcast account. Which is still the largest broadcasting and cable television company in the world according to Wikipedia. Another american account that molded me to who I am today. Transcom was my first job. The BPO industry helped me enhanced my communication skills and to become a people person.
