I have practiced law in Michigan for 21 years, but I am now eager to make a career change into a new and exciting field. My previous marketing experience includes running print, radio, television, seminar, and business-to-business sales campaigns. More recently, I brought new clientele to my firm after acquiring basic SEO and social media management skills, thereby improving the firm’s website ranking and customer reach.

I was trained at several top universities, including the honors college at the University of Miami, and a top 25 law program at Emory University. I was a full ride scholarship student at Detroit Country Day School, the top high school in Michigan. More recently, I taught legal writing and research at Northwestern Michigan College. My experience allowed me to acquire a broad skill set. The essential tools I use as an attorney - problem-solving, writing, critical thinking, flexibility, research, and advocacy - can be applied effectively to most jobs. 

At the previous law firm that I owned and operated, I handled a multimedia marketing campaign that included radio, television, and public relations that took my firm from a home office to gross earnings of over $750,000 per year. I also hired and trained four new attorneys and ten staff members to provide service to hundreds of families. I conducted direct sales campaigns to referral sources allowing the firm to acquire clients directly from six nursing homes, dozens of financial planners, and over twenty law firms.

At my most recent law firm, I improved its Google rank from page nine to page one in all core areas of the practice by revising the website, adding keywords, creating back links, and expanding the firm’s social media presence. I Automated the firm’s estate planning documents to improve efficiency and reduce errors. I allowed the firm to eliminate outside referrals and triple the potential revenue stream of the firm’s elder law practice by using my 20-years of elder law experience to train other firm attorneys.

At a side business that I created, I invented new contracts used by elder law attorneys in multiple states to protect nearly $10 million in client assets. I increased sales by 75% by educating attorneys and their staff to use the contracts effectively. I also coordinated business to business sales and marketing to earn more than $1 million in revenue.
