Hello, I’m Joel.

When it comes to GIS, I have extensive experience with ArcGIS Pro, HubSpot, DroneDeploy, Terra, TerraAPI, and Python to deliver excellent maps and spatial information. Over the course of my career, I have worked in the horticulture and agricultural industry, developing robust mapping and spatial data control capabilities. I also have an understanding of GPS, Remote sensing, and UAV principles, coupled with a Master's degree, where I identified 20 tree species using hyperspectral imagery. One project I led was taking the imagery processing process from costing >$80,000 a year plus considerable worker involvement to becoming free and fully automated.

I know that my experience will unlikely be a perfect fit for a role you are looking to fill. However, I know that throughout my career, I have needed and proven to be a quick learner. Utilizing my passion for learning, strong written and oral communication skills, a self-motivated and proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to full use. Having worked remotely for over five years, I understand the importance of clear and effective communication in ensuring team members are aligned and working collaboratively.

Throughout my time as the Drafting Lead for the mapping team, I enjoyed the opportunity to train new staff with the drafting process, create written and recorded guides, and ensure I was available for questions and impromptu support with various projects or issues.
