With a service-oriented professional attitude, I hold a bachelor’s degree in ecotourism and hospitality management awarded to me by Chuka University in Kenya with a second-class upper division. My career path commenced in the hospitality sector, where I gathered wide-ranging experience and mastered the art of management, from front office functions to guest relations and customer service, at well-known hotels like InterContinental Nairobi and Four Points by Sheraton Hurlingham. Over time, I built a brand for myself revolving around professionalism, meticulousness, and exceeding expectations for guest satisfaction.
Furthermore, my previous experiences have given me understanding and knowledge of a myriad other industries, including being multilingual with English and Kiswahili as my main spoken languages and French as my third language, communication, problem detection and fixing, task juggling with very little time, and peak performance amid stress. In addition, I am fully capable of operating hotel management systems like Opera and QEMS, making me technically skilled as well as flexible to business administrative roles and client interaction.
Building on my previously mentioned leadership experiences, I have also honed my skills as a remote tutor, which I plan to develop further in 2024 as a new professional endeavor. I clearly possess the ability needed to convey sophisticated concepts in a simple manner, which, combined with my interpersonal strength, allows me to provide academic assistance and train remotely for skill development.
