I’m Joanne Fisher, a dedicated and experienced administrative and support professional from Cape Town, South Africa, with over 20 years of experience across a range of roles including executive assistance, customer service, clinical research support, and general office admin.
I’m highly organized, dependable, and enjoy bringing a calm, supportive presence to any team I work with. Over the years, I’ve worked in busy environments like Kanu Wines, where I managed calendars, handled phone calls, looked after office supplies, and made sure everything was ready for meetings and business travel. I also helped out in the wine tasting area, which was a great experience and lots of fun.
At IQVIA, I supported global teams by providing both technical and business process support. I worked with internal staff and external clients through phone, email, and live chat. I also handled support for patient-centered technology systems, which required strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems quickly while staying patient and clear in my communication.
Earlier in my career, I worked in roles such as data capturing, sales coordination, and promotions. I also have experience in customer service, where I handled queries, scheduled appointments, followed up with clients, and made sure they were happy with the service they received.
Some of my key skills include multitasking, time management, and working independently, especially in remote roles. I’m confident using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and similar programs, and I pick up new systems quickly.
Outside of work, I enjoy horse riding, love a good cup of coffee, and spend my free time with my cheeky little Yorkie who always keeps things interesting.
