I'm James Muendo — a strategic and hands-on Program, Product & Project Manager with over 10 years of experience delivering high-impact projects across Africa and beyond. My work spans NGOs, UN agencies, governments, startups, and tech companies, often at the intersection of technology, development, and operations.
What I bring to the table is clarity, structure, and momentum. I’ve led cross-functional teams to deliver digital transformation projects, MIS platforms, public health systems, and enterprise rollouts — often under tight timelines, across multiple countries, and with diverse stakeholders involved. I thrive in complexity and bring calm where there’s chaos.
My strength is in connecting the dots — aligning project goals with business needs, helping teams focus on what matters, and getting things done without drama. I’m well-versed in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models, and I know how to work across time zones and cultures.
I’ve also written and delivered dozens of winning technical proposals and bids — particularly for UN, donor-funded, and NGO-led projects. I know how to package solutions that meet both operational and funding requirements.
I enjoy remote work because it pushes you to be intentional — with your time, communication, and leadership. I’ve built and led distributed teams, managed international vendors, and delivered remote projects successfully long before it became the norm.
Outside of work, I’m deeply passionate about investing in people, systems, and growth. I’m currently working toward becoming an Agile and Scrum Coach, while finishing my undergraduate degree in Finance. I also enjoy mentoring young professionals, golfing on weekends, and building income-generating side hustles.
Whether you’re a startup building your first product, an NGO rolling out a new platform, or a partner bidding for donor work — I bring reliability, clarity, and delivery focus.
Let’s build something great.
